Get your hands off the money !

Around 160 000 DM in taxes for the years 1991 to 1993 is what the tax office claims for former FDJ-corporations in Berlin. 160 000 DM is the sum, that is in reality being poured into the pockets of Treuhandanstalt. Deadline: 28th of May 2001. This is the threat of bankruptcy looming above our Youth Organisation.

With the annexation of the GDR on the 3rd of October 1990, the FDJ lost the biggest part of its property: real estate worth 20 million DM that had been used for youth work by the FDJ, were robbed over night. The peoples property of the GDR is now the property of the FRG. When the FDJ had opened the books on the 1st of July 1990, there were 15 million DM in financial property, these 15 million DM flowed into several pockets of the FRG.
Still in 1990 the FDJ was put under the administration of Treuhandanstalt. Without Treuhand's consent, no action concerning the property of the FDJ was possible and the FDJ in return had no control over its property any longer. By 1995 all the property was used up, nothing was left. It was used up due to the annexation and according to the law that was put into practice for the annexation. The Treuhand and later its successor, the ,,Bundesanstalt für vereinigungsbedingte Sonderaufgaben" (BvS) had used it for purposes according to the annectors law, filling the drawers of the annector.

In the face of the evidence that they had written their law so as to be able to rob everything from the FDJ, and that they were willing and able to rob everything from the FDJ and put their law upon the FDJ, the FDJ saw no other way than to make a treaty with Treuhand when in 1999 Treuhand and tax office claimed again millions of DM to cover their own expenses for the annexation work. The treaty says that FDJ will renounce the property still administrated by Treuhand, Treuhand on the other hand committed itself to pay any resulting claims for the future.
Today, the Treuhand-successor BvS is breaking the treaty: BvS is refusing to pay the taxes claimed by the tax office. The tax office as well as BvS know very well that the FDJ has no longer any property or anything else to pay any taxes with.

More than 10 years after the annexation, the so-called ,,re-unification", the funeral they put up for the GDR is still not over. The new imperialist reign over the people of the GDR is - again- built to last 1000 years. With the FRG, we will never live in peace. With the FRG, the people of the world will not live in peace.

Last time, 50 years ago on the 26th of June 1951, the FDJ was illegalized and forbidden in Western Germany, because FDJ was actively fighting on the streets against the German remilitarisation.
